All questions
Is there a minimum spend?
Advertisers & agencies
No minimum to start on the self-serve Tradedesk — you can plan and estimate before committing a budget. Managed engagements start from a monthly commitment we agree up front.
How long does it take to go live?
Advertisers & agencies
Self-serve accounts can launch the same day. Managed campaigns typically go live in two to three weeks, depending on inventory holds, creative approval and data connections.
Can I buy one channel only?
Advertisers & agencies
Yes. DOOH on its own is the most common starting point. Adding CTV, display, retail media or mobile later does not change your setup — the same plan and reporting extend to cover them.
What creative do I need?
Advertisers & agencies
Static or video files per venue type: resolutions and spot lengths differ between a supermarket screen and a landmark LED. Our team returns a spec sheet for your screen list, and creative can vary by daypart or trigger.
Can I change budget or screens mid-flight?
Advertisers & agencies
Yes — budget, pacing, audience and screen list can all move while the campaign is live. Changes apply from the next available loop, not the next booking cycle.
How do I know the ads actually played?
Advertisers & agencies
Every spot returns a proof-of-play record with screen, timestamp and creative. You can export the full log, and reported impressions trace back to those individual plays.
Do I have to give up control of pricing?
Media owners
No. You set floors per screen, venue and daypart, and no auction clears below your number. You also keep category and advertiser blocks.
Can I keep selling directly?
Media owners
Yes. Direct bookings sit alongside programmatic demand in the same console, and your direct deals take priority in the decisioning order you define.
What does onboarding involve?
Media owners
Device registration, player firmware, and mapping your screens to the OpenOOH venue taxonomy. Most networks are live in two to three weeks; larger estates roll out in phases.
Which demand sources do I get access to?
Media owners
Our own Tradedesk demand plus 60+ pre-built exchange connections including Hivestack, LMX, Vistar and Google Ad Manager — through one integration rather than contracts with each.
How and when do I get paid?
Media owners
Revenue is reconciled against proof-of-play per screen and per demand source, with a monthly statement you can audit down to the individual spot.
Do I need to own the screens already?
Retailers
No. Networks are built either on your existing screens or on hardware we specify and deploy, running our player firmware from day one.
Who sells the media to brands?
Retailers
Either party. Many retailers run their own commercial team with our platform underneath; others let our trading desk sell and operate the network on a revenue share.
Can I use shopper data without exposing it?
Retailers
Yes. Shopper and transaction data stays on your side, joined in a clean room for measurement. Brands see aggregate lift, never individual records.
What can in-store screens actually prove?
Retailers
Exposure reconciled against basket and category sales for exposed versus control stores, plus footfall by zone — the same measurement layer used across the network.
What data do you use for targeting?
Data & privacy
Aggregated mobile location, venue footfall and, where a retailer participates, first-party shopper segments. DOOH targeting is audience- and moment-based, not addressed to an individual.
Are you clean-room ready?
Data & privacy
Yes. Sales, loyalty and CRM data can be joined in a clean room without either side exporting raw records, and outputs are released only in aggregate.
Where is data stored, and for how long?
Data & privacy
In-region for our Southeast Asian markets, with retention set per contract. Raw logs are kept for the audit window agreed with you, then aggregated.
Can we run our own audit?
Data & privacy
Yes. Delivery, proof-of-play and measurement methodology are documented and exportable, and we support third-party verification on request.
How does billing work?
Billing & contracts
Managed campaigns are invoiced per flight or monthly against the signed insertion order. Self-serve accounts run on prepaid balance or agreed credit terms.
Which currencies can I buy in?
Billing & contracts
VND, USD and SGD across our Southeast Asian markets. Reporting can display a single currency for cross-market plans.
Do you support POs and agency billing?
Billing & contracts
Yes — purchase orders, agency-of-record billing and split invoicing across brands or markets are all supported.
Is there a lock-in period?
Billing & contracts
Self-serve has none. Managed and media-owner agreements run for a defined term we agree up front, with notice periods stated in the contract.
What happens if a campaign underdelivers?
Billing & contracts
Programmatic guaranteed volume is made good or credited against the shortfall shown in proof-of-play. Auction-based delivery is reported against pacing, and unspent budget is never charged.
